I drew this card from my Horse Wisdom Oracle card deck this morning. It seems so appropriate and timely. Belleza Fiera is here to remind you, that although the world is masculine, your feminine presence and leadership is crucial to the survival of all.
BELLEZA FIERA | Honor the Lead Mare
Wild horses roam and instinctively travel in a herd. A dominant male stallion protects the herd from predators while positioned in the rear. The lead mare, also called the Alpha Mare, decides when a herd will move and where it will move. She leads all members to food and water in front of the herd. She raises any foals and teaches them how to be independent and get along with other herd members.
In the human world, the role of the female is often downplayed, dishonored, or distorted.
Males and females are often not treated or paid equally. The conditioning and messages that express the inequality of the sexes in certain cultures can go very deep. Have you noticed this in your life?
Horses teach us another way. As a conscious person on a path of growth, examining your relationship to the feminine and the power of the feminine may be highly beneficial. If you are female, understanding how important a lead mare is to a herd may inspire you into higher levels of ownership of your skills, position, abilities, and purpose. You might learn to value yourself more. It is important not to buy into what social conditioning or the media might say but instead define your value and contribution. Be proud of your intuitive, instinctual feminine qualities, along with the ability to also be full of fire and ready to set boundaries when needed.
A lead mare is focused on the health of the whole more than the individual.
• Have you allowed others to position you unequally? How might you shift that?
• Have you been socially conditioned into perceiving a hierarchy between the sexes? Is that your truth?
• What roles do you play when you honor your feminine nature?
• What might you do to inspire others to respect and value the feminine?
• Do you honor and respect your lead mare qualities? Do you honor and respect other lead mares?
