Who Attends
Many of the individuals that we work with are in transition. They are searching for a greater sense of purpose and passion, wish to become more powerful and self-directed, want to evolve spiritually, and desire a deeper connect to self, others and nature. They want to live an authentic life.

Horse enthusiasts attend our equine learning programs to develop skills to create a deeper sense of connection and potential with horses.

What can a horse do for me?
Horses offer humans an opportunity to understand and learn a deeper way of "being" in the world. Horses embody power, grace and a highly tuned instinct. A horse's survival depends on its ability to sense any incongruity in its environment and respond appropriately. In the herd, horses naturally trust their instincts and are attuned to the moods and body language of others. Their social structure is highly valued; without it their survival is threatened.

During Horse Wisdom Programs you interact with horses, develop relationships, become part of the herd, and learn about yourself along the way. Horses are a non-judgmental mirror of the gifts, challenges and areas where you are ready to grow as a person. They teach us to become more emotionally, physically and mentally aware.

All equine learning programs include a special blend of life coaching processes and work with the horses to help you reach greater levels of mind/body awareness, presence, and ignite your authentic self.

During the time at the ranch you may experience deep realizations, an increase of confidence and self-empowerment, and connection with a community of like-minded people.

Dance of Authenticity

The path to authenticity requires one to move from simply functioning in the world do becoming connected to all aspects of life and self. The horses will move you through the steps of revealing your true self. Let the horse teach you to become more emotionally, physically and mentally aware.

Take on of these workshops if you wish to:

The majestic nature of horses is a transformational experience for humans. During this program you will interact with horses, develop relationships, become part of the herd, and learn about yourself along the way. Horses naturally bring you deeper into your self and illuminate your path. Explore the natural rhythm of an authentic life and heart-centered power through the way of the horse.

Equine learning activities may include: meet the herd, individual round pen sessions, grooming, open space work. Tools provided: emotional message chart, 4 steps to the present, authentic/false self exploration, creative arts.

This is a hands on, non-riding program, no experience needed, for both riders and non-riders. It is an Epona Approach formatted program and fulfills requirements for advance with Linda Kohanov and Kathy Pike. All programs are facilitated by Kathy Pike and her trained assistants unless otherwise indicated.

Seven Centers of Connection: Through the Way of the Horse

September 20-23, 2012 - Longmont, Colorado

The most courageous thing that we can do is to delve into a deeper level of energetic and spiritual exploration. Through this process, we strengthen our sense of self and wholeness. During this program you will open and engage the seven primary energy centers (chakras) to access your inner wisdom and ignite a deeper connection with Horse.

This program is for those who wish to:

 

Horse teaches us the non-linear and circular flow of life and energy. Explore the Seven Centers of Connection with Horse to shift from your linear-focused thinking and seeing into the mystical world of possibility.

Activities include: reflective round pen sessions, meditation, mind-body awareness processes, and key learning components of the Epona Approach. Limited space is available, for riders and non-riders. No horse experience needed. All activities are on the ground.

Horses carry humans in the physical world. They can also carry us into the creative spiritual realms. Their ancient wisdom and powerful presence helps us pierce the veil between our mundane physical existence and non-ordinary reality, where spirit allies and animal totems reside. This program combines deep transformation work in areas of equine facilitated learning, natural horsemanship, healing work, and life coaching to help you clarify the best path for you to take with horses. It is also ideal for those who are wishing to gain more skills for their EFL programs or credentials.

The Passion, Purpose and Horse as Partner Program will help you to:

This program is recommended for anyone who wants to work deeply with Horse to heal their hearts and expand their capacity to serve others. We will explore several different approaches of working with Horse. As a Life Coach, I believe the Horse has the innate talent to expand our potential and support us in stepping into our true power and self-expression. A Life Coaching option is available after the program to keep you on track with your new insights and discoveries. This is an advanced program that includes active work with the horse in the expansive and nurturing Rocky Mountains.

Hearts in Harmony: The Dance of Horse and Human

This workshop takes you into a deep exploration of building a connection and relationship through the heart of the horse. Several specially designed activities with the horses help you to better understand the energetic fields of both horse and human. You learn:

 

This program introduces EFLC (Equine Facilitated Learning and Coaching) to those who are interested in the new emerging field and are considering integrating key EFLC tools and processes into their life or work. The horse teaches you how to be deeply centered in your strength and awareness and how to gain understanding and intimacy in relationships. The Hearts in Harmony workshop honors the horse as a teacher and guide for humans and applies both an experiential level of learning along with a logical and cognitive understanding.

The Hearts in Harmony workshop is a non-riding workshop and suited for the beginner or serious equestrian, therapist, coach, trainer, counselor etc. Body centered activities and worksheets support the learning. This is an Epona Approved workshop and gives you credit for more advanced classes. Explore, play and expand your possibilities with the horse!
