- Release fears and shift self-sabotaging behaviors or thoughts when riding
- Increase the invisible communications (intuition) from your horse
Sample Story
In 2004 I traveled to Calgary, Canada. I was invited to work with riders using my Mind Body Method (MBM) Coaching process. My host and I were stunned at how quickly the relationship transformed when I coached the rider. In one case a mare had a short stride and seemed blocked in her right front shoulder. She looked very uncomfortable with the rider on her back. The rider complained that she felt a lack of connection with her mare. As I coached the rider through the MBM she released energy locked in her right shoulder from a previous accident she has had with her horse (she had broken her collar bone).
She practiced the MBM tools and then rode her horse around the arena again. Her horse’s stride lengthened and she reported more flow and connection had returned. I could see the change in both of their bodies as they moved with more ease. (You may read the full story in Kathy’s book Hope… through the Heart of Horses due out spring 2009)
The Benefits of working with Kathy:
- Increased confidence and focus
- Higher levels of ‘feel’ with their horse
- Higher levels of abilities (both recreationally and competitive)
- A deeper connection and synchronicity with their horse
- Expanded states of awareness and connection
- Release of old trauma and energy blocks
How did Kathy come to do this work?
Kathy came into this body of work through her own path of healing from an accident with a horse. To become a confident rider she had to learn how to control her mind and emotions as she returned to riding. Through continually practicing her Four Steps to the Present and the MBM she released fears based in the past and was able to move forward with more confidence.
Kathy offers extensive training and experiences in body awareness techniques from her past as a massage therapist and polarity therapist. She is an avid yoga practitioner and her first book was about integrating energy through working with the chakra system. Her eight years as a life coach provides a solid foundation for empowering individuals to move beyond their limitations and blocks to success while integrating mind, body and spirit.
